Opera-length gloves in smooth sheepskin, about 45 cm long. Three fine stitched points on the back of each hand and nothing else: no buttons, no zips, no hardware.

Lining: soft and thin, listed by the maker as silk.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from radiators and direct sun, and store flat.

How do I find my size?

Wrap a soft tape measure around your dominant hand at the knuckles, thumb not included. S fits about 17.8 cm (7 in), M 18.4 cm, L 19 cm and XL 19.6 cm. Between sizes, take the larger. The sliders above work it out for you.

How long are they?

About 45 cm from fingertip to cuff, so on most arms they finish just above the elbow. Wear them under a coat sleeve, with a coat over your shoulders, or with short and sleeveless tops.

What are they made of?

Smooth sheepskin leather, according to the maker's specification, with a thin lining the maker lists as silk. There are no buttons, zips or snaps; the only detail is three stitched points on the back of each hand.

Are they warm?

They are light and easy to slip on, made for city cold and evenings out rather than snow or skiing. On freezing days pair them with a warm coat.

How do I care for them?
